The Indian roller (Coracias benghalensis), is a member of the roller family of birds. They are found widely across tropical Asia stretching from Iraq eastward across the Indian Subcontinent to Indochina and are best known for the aerobatic displays of the male during the breeding season. They are very commonly seen perched along roadside trees and wires and are commonly seen in open grassland and scrub forest habitats. It is not migratory, but undertakes some seasonal movements. The largest populations of the species are within India, and Several states in India (including Karnataka) have chosen it as their state bird.

Hi Arjun,

Very nice picture with great details and colors. The birds look as if they talked each other.

Hello Arjun,
What a nice scene in spectacular light, amazing beautiful contrasting against the blurred background. Maybe a bit too much saturated. Excellent sharpness and an attractive diagonal composition.

Funny caption!
Great capture of 3 of them on a single branch.

Hello Arjun,
What a beautiful trio of Indian Rollers you have presented to us. They appear to be having a serious conversation, especially the two on the left. Nicely focused and showing rich color and just the right exposure. A lovely sight indeed!

great triplet, TFS Ori
