[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Initially I posted it as a Marsh sandpiper (Tringa stagnatilis). Thanks to Peter van Zoest, who corrected that this was an immature Black-Winged Stilt. I took this photo from a low lying boat in Mangaljodi, India at a shoulder to shoulder level.

Thanks a lot to Peter- I also learnt how to edit in TN.

Hello Bala,
This is an immature Black-winged Stilt, himantopus himantopus - First Winter.
Nice photo in beautiful warm colors and good sharpness. Taken from an excellent low POV.

Hello Bala,
A wonderful shot of this beautiful sandpiper. From this POV it actually looks very tall, like a stork:) Focus is sharp and colors are well saturated. Nice eye contact with a tad bit of catchlight visible.

Hello Bala,
Nice to see this Juvenile Black Winged Stilt from our neighbor state Orissa. Well capture. Like the way you have isolated bird from BG watery plants. White looks bit OE due to harsh sunlight but warm tone in your picture.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice WE,
Srikumar
