|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This is the second picture of this Brown-headed Barbet I shot on 15th of this month while it came to the guava tree in our house compound to eat its fruit.|
This is a relatively large barbet at 27 cm. It is a plump bird, with a short neck, large head and short tail.
The adult has a streaked brown head, neck and breast, with a yellow eye patch. The rest of the plumage is green. The bill is thick and red. Sexes are similar.
The call is a repetitive kutroo…kutroo…kutroo. Others take up the call when one starts. Somewhat silent in the winter.

A little more of a side angled pose of this beautiful bird. Nicely focused while giving us a great look at its colorful plumage. Great eye contact with just a bit of catchlight visible. Well done!!

Hi Ram,a second excellent pic of this barbet, tha same point of view but a different bird position, the quality is another time very very high, the bright metallic colors are a winner. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hola Ram...Wow, una especie fabulosa y una foto genial, como me gustan los colores de esta ave...saludos.
This is gorgeous. Great off-centered compo, good sharpness, nice colors and this time the exposure is perfect, too. Even there was a wire (?) at the bottom, very closed to your lens, a pleasant photo. Congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László
