White-cheeked, Crested Himalayan Bulbul
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The winter is drawing to a close now here in north India and soon, this visitor from the higher Himalayan valleys will return to its natural habitat.
However, so long as it keeps coming to our bird feed, I will continue to capture it as best as I can.
This is how I captured it today morning in shade.
Was hospitalized for 3 days for the treatment of peptic ulcers. Came back home yesterday and feeling refreshed! |

Hello Ram,
Sorry to hear about your health issues, hope you are finally feeling better. I am reminded almost daily that we are not getting any younger:(
I really like this shot of your visiting Crested Himalayan Bulbul. It has posed in a proud raised crested stance. The unique color pattern of its plumage is easily seen in wonderful detail. Excellent eye contact with a bit of catchlight visible. You did very well on the exposure even with such harsh backlighting.
Ron
Not only white-cheeked, but looking very cheeky as well! Very clean shot - sharp, excellent colors, enough DOF to cover most of the bird sharply.
Hi Ram,
The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the White-cheeked Crested Himalayan Bulbul. The light is giving nice tints to the colours. Have a nice day.
