Himalayan Wild Flower
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|My wife and I undertook an adventure journey by road from Jammu in the State of Jammu & Kashmir to Chamba in Himachal Pradesh via Bhaderwah -- a beautiful hilly region making border with Chamba district. Unfortunately, we could not complete the journey because of a massive landslide obstructing our way when we crossed a high pass and descended into Chamba region. Ultimately, we had no way but to return to Jammu. |
I had 18-200mm lens mounted on my camera for the purpose of taking landscape pictures since the views of mountains on this route are truly magnificent. When I noticed some wild Himalayan flowers on the way, I stopped to take a few pictures of them without changing into a macro lens.
This Himalayan wild flower is one of them.
Hope you like it.

Hi Ram,I'm not an expert, but this flower reminds me the wild strawberries, especially for the shape but not the color. A very nice macro,i like the composition and the very bright yellow too, nice surprise from this region. Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Sorry to hear that you were not able to go as far as you wanted to due to the land slides, but you were still able to capture this wonderful shot. The diagonal thistle frames the flower perfectly. Composing your subject just off center makes for an eye catching image.
The beautiful flower reminds me somewhat of the butter cups we have here in Ohio. Very pretty and presented in fine detail. Love the bright rich colors and your exposure is right on the button.
Amazing colors and nice capture of this yellow flower.
