[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bush Brown (Mycalesis perseus) - subfamily SATYRINAE
This butterfly can be seen flying in the bush during early evening. In the day time they rest on the ground amongst dry leaves, and can hardly be seen unless disturbed.

Caterpillars in this subfamily feed on grasses

Log of shot.

Spotted this fellow below a plantation of palm trees , and this fellow never used to sit in a lighted area , but always sat under a shadow and that too on a ground , had to use fill in flash and could not use stand as my stand does not have low angle adapter!! so it is hand held shot.

Thanks for visiting and thanks in advance for critiques /comments

Very nice photo. I like details, colors and composition.

Hi Goutham,
this is a nice close-up with good details and POV.
I like the simple colour-tones.
Well done.

Quite a good shot Goutham. I would have preferred a bit more room in front of the butterfly and the whites look a touch over exposed. Sharpness and details are great.

Wow Goutham I have never seen this butterfly before on TN. The white pattern on it stands out so vibrantly. Good shot of it, TFS
