[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This roller had its feathers ruffled up for some time as it sat in this palm tree. Maybe it had a bath and was still drying out.
Rollers are good photo subjects as they spend some time on various perches, including powerlines, spying for prey that can include lizards, small snakes and mammals and insects.
I digiscoped this shot at a distance of about 50 meters using my Zeiss Diascope.

Ivan - excellent focus and composition.

The colors of the bird against the blue sky are excellent Ivan!
Nice catch light in the eye!
Great positioning and depth of field!

Hi Ivan
What incredible bird, with so nice soft colors. The photo is, in my opinion, also very well composed and all those details of the palm leavesdon't distract.

hello Ivan

A very beautiful photo of this roller shot in India,
I am discovering beautiful photos from your
beginning on TN, lovely light, the great POV
is giving the bird's eye-contact and the
catch-light is rendering it beautiful more and more, TFS
