Hello Ben,
You bought a great new camera and the first result is beautiful ! Nice to find this cute frog for your test and honestly I like. The flash didn't burned. The subject stands out fron the dark background. Colors and sharpness on head are good.
Bravo, continue like that, we enjoy !

Hi Ben
What a cute little frog you have here! Its face really does resemble a bit that of Mr. Kermit's :))
I like the details and the contrast here!
The pads on its fingers are very well visible and look great!
Congratualtions on your new "toy" :) It seems to work fine, if you ask me :)
I also very curios on the other shot with it, too.
Cheers and TFS

Hi Benyamin - for a test run this is magnificent and what a kind frog to be available to pose for you. Fabulous clarity and composition - would be interesting to know some more about the frog (how lucky you are to have them on your car!). Look forward to future shots with your new toy.

Hello Benyamin,
flash photography is quite hard to get a settings right. I suppose you have a build in flash. But this seems to work just fine. You managed to get this from really well on the picture. The car window makes the setting a bit artificial, but the technical part seems fine to me.

Hi Benjamin,
Welcome to the sony club, your camera works fine, colors and details are excellent,my experience with the sony is that it produces great pictures however the noise gets disturbing above 400 ISO so better use the lower as possible,
Regards,
Paul
Benyamin,
Nice capture. I like the light and point of view. I think it does need some USM to bring out the detail. I have done a little sharpening and included it in a workshop.
I actually think it could use a little more sharpening beyond what I did, but I just wanted you to see how some USM could improve the shot.
Sharpening is almost always required because of the nature of the CCD in digital cameras.

Ricardo
Congratulations my friend for your new camera.
A clear and very well illuminated image with good point of view to show good details of the amphibian.
In spite of the use of the flash, the reflections are not exaggerated being even stuck to a glass.
Perhaps DOF has been scarce, leaving a focus something soft on the superior paws.
An interesting optimization in Workshop of Chrish.
Best greeting... Ricardo

Hello Ben,
I think that this result is very good but I'm not really familiar with flash photo as I do not use it yet so, I'm not the best judge. What impress me most is that little fellow was actually waiting for you and that's fantastic! You caught great details in a nice POV and composition. I think that this little one looks very good :-) TFS,
Claudine

Hi Ben,
I would say the test went very well. An excellent shot. I think the fill flash exposure was good, and the detail is nice and sharp. This close you would really need more DOF to get him all sharp though. A very difficult flash exposure that went very well.

Nice sharp portrait.
Polypedates leucomystax, our common tree-frog.
This is probably a female looking at the size.
Males are much smaller.

THe lens worked well, the camera has nice color output, but... the flash damaged your shot. SO did the car. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice shot, but the background just looks too "human"... I mean, you can tell it's your car. Try placing the animals you're shooting in their natural environment.
As for the flash, I know it's inevitable in macro photography, so try to have it Off-Camera. If you can't take the flash off the camera, tryu using a diffuser, or a reflector so as to give the image more depth.
I would've also done some PP work on the frog's eyes, which have the equivalent of red-eye in humans.
Good work though.
Cheers!
