I found this butterfly at Tidung Island, Thousand Island (3 hours by boat from Jakarta)
I've got a side lighting from the right side. It's around 3 pm in the evening.

This indeed a beautiful and broad winged butterfly. The colours and detail on the wings are captured and displayed with great simplicity and clarity. The details of the two wings are almost identical except for one tiny brown spot on the left wing. This is a perfectly shaped insect and I find the black and white spots on the thorax very pleasing to the eye. Photographically you have done well here; it is a lovely image. Thanks for sharing. Wonderful shot of this B/W beauty! Simply amazing!
I like the soft green colored blurred background with nice POV and great DOF. The clarity is just ideal. Good sharpness of eyes and antennae, however my favorite is the shape of the wings, great!
