A very nice shot of this perfectly camouflaged grasshopper.
Sharpness is very good and with almost the same colors as the surroundig makes it difficult to find, i think.
Therefor a great prestation from you taking such a picture this way.

Although week light conditions and you had to use a relatively long exposure, you've took an amazing capture indeed. Very good job with the focus and exposure, can make out each and every detail.
TFS and best wishes for 2010!

Good photo of this grasshopper with good detail and a nice POV from the side showing the length of his body. Taken with good detail and good depth of field.
Good capture and TFS

Is strange structure of this grasshopper. It differs significantly from what is usual in these insects, the length of their wings and the arrangement of the head relative to thorax are rare. Leaving aside the slight focus problems that you mention in "Shortcomings" is a good photo and fulfills its mission to make us know the species. Truly a "stonehopper" very interesting.
Thanks for sharing and good documentation

It may be a bit soft due to the poor light, but the other aspects of this image and the unusual shape of this species of Sulawesian grasshopper, especially the head and the long wings, make this a fine contribution to TN.
Thank you and best wishes,
