The Underside

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Some days ago I posted a picture of the beautiful swallowtail butterfly
- Graphium eurypylus
- family: Papilionidae
This time, however, I show the underside wing pattern of the species. This required my horizontal positioning. But I think it was worth to do this exercise.
Wingspan of the butterfly: about 70 mm.
Location
The picture was taken at a path close to the small settling Konawendepiha in the remote mountains of South-East Sulawesi (Sulawesi-Tenggara).

Pete, bet you were thrilled to catch him! I am a bit spoiled as we have a butterfly house to visit near us. This is wild and just look at those eyes. Good capture
