A dwarf among other butterflies which can be observed in Sulawesi, such as large Papilionidae of the genera Troides and Papilio or Danainae of the genus Idea.

However, the smaller Lycaenidae show higher species-richness than the above mentioned groups and neverhteless have nice wing patterns and colours.

The picture shows:
- Anthene philo
- family: Lycaenidae

The species is endemic for the Sulawesi region.
