Hi James,
none of the white stuff here im afraid, you never know you might get a white christmas ;o) I saw the 'Life' programme too. Seems they have an even harsher class system than we do in the UK!
Love the eye contact here and of course the snowy setting is great. Good job on the exposure.
Have a great christmas and new year.

Hello James,
A fine shot of this snowy Macaque. The technical features are excellent and the light management just right.
We have snow here too now, but I guess that yours in Cambs. will disappear before ours!
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hello James,
Several inches of snow in Cambs. must mean chaos - I have fond memories!! However, this lovely Japanese Macaque is well prepared with his thick coat and seems to love it! Snow here too that brigthens up the darkness. This close portrait is superb as are the others you've posted of these beautiful animals!
TFS and all the best wishes, Ulla

Very nice job dear James.
At a first moment I thought you used flash to fill, then I realised it was through the snow.
I can explain...we don have snow in our country and I don't know how does it work. We can see a soft and good light in it face and I`d like to say that you got an amazing picture MF.
You POV and composition are great too.
TFS and see you in TN.
Francisco.

Hi James,
This reminds me of a little boy out playing in the snow perhaps making snowballs. The face is magnificent with a wonderful expression. The eyes are beautiful. I love the snow on his fur! I had the pleasure of seeig Macaques when I was in Japan but it was summer - no snow.

Hello James,
We remember well the other beautiful shots of this Japanese Macaques in the snow. I love the expression of this monkey, it really looked straight into the eyes of the photographer! I see that you live in Cambridgeshire. I studied one year in Cambridge (Wolfson College).
I wish you Merry Christmas
Kind regards
Anne

Hi James
It is a great shot of this Japanese Macaque. Better eye contact than that you won't
easily find with any other animal than with a curious monkey. What did you do, pull
faces or was it your normal face that aroused his interest (chuckle)? I just love that
expression on the Macaque's red face. They say the eyes are the windows to the
soul which means we can see right into the soul of this guy. I don't know what we
are seeing in this case though, but we're surely can look deep into those gorgeous
eyes.
It may be freezing cold there by you, but here in sunny Zululand we were sweating
away at 33°C today.
Take care MF and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hi James.
How long time you was absent here. Now I am also not frequent visitor here. My best wishes in 2010 and Merry Christmas. And thanks for so impressive portrait of a cute creature. Great framing, exposure and details of the image and perfect reflection of the monkey mood. Bravo and TFS.

Really nice shot of this monkey. Good motion blur in the hand, which shoes the motion.
The background is just right. Not too dark, and not burnt out.
Well done!
