[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It lives a lot in the environment such as the hometown mountains and parks with the tree to some degree, and it is seen also in the city part. I hear it the cry [Hi-yo], [Hi-yo].
I took this picture when I went to Karuizawa of Nagano Prefecture.

Feature:
The length of this bird is 27.5cm. There is a brown part on the cheek, and it stands out well though the body is covered from the head with a gray feather. Moreover, the feather in the parietal region is a little longer than surroundings. The wing and the rectrix are the ashes brown.

Hi Mikio,
excellent effect of the branch giving a good visual graphical impact.
Lovely blue sky as the background. the bird is captured with excellent clarity and sharpness. i like the harmony of colours between the bird and the branch.Well composed shot.
