This photograph is the one having taken it in the Inba marsh in Chiba Prefecture in Tokyo suburbs. This bird moved to the marsh, it entered the surface of the water, and it bathed many times though it was walking for a while in the meadow.
It doesn't run away at once even if a little approaching unlike other wild birds. In the length about 21cm, movement is very pretty in a black, white body.
This bird chiefly catches the insect kind, the arachno, and the earthworm, etc. that live chiefly in the waterside, and lurk in in water, the lee of a rock, and the soil, etc. and eats.

It is called Black-backed Wagtail in a British name though the scientific name is Motacilla alba lugens in this bird. |

Hi Mikio,
nice capture with good colour contrast. The reflection is beautiful too. You have composed it very well with the off centred view.
I like this bird, like our robin here.
