Help! Orthopera 1
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|While I know a little about Butterflies, I have no knowledge of Orthoptera, Grasshoppers and Crickets, But I still like to take pictures of them when I find a good subject. So I am hoping someone will prove to be an expert in the field and help with some IDs.|
If anyone knows a good web link for Oriental Orthopera, I'd like to hear of it.
First up is this colourful chap from Mt. Koya in Japan. I found him as you see him, hanging upside down from this leaf. It was quite a cold day, about 6 or 7 Celsius, and he was not very active. Hence I was able to get reasonably close. The lack of sunlight meant that flash was the only way to get a deep DOF in an attempt to capture as much detail as possible.
I look forward to any assistance you can give. Thank you.

Beautiful G-hop captured upside down in excellent details and clarity. Very well lit and perfectly exposed shot.
