Hi James,
Wow! This is a great shot. The photo OP you had is amazing, the POV could'nt be better. The adaption to the hot springs for these animals is very interesting considering that they haven't really been doing this kind of behavior for very long of the Japanese macaques. Well done and TFS
Paul :)
Wow, what a pleasant surprise, your fine dedication James, and congratulations for your 10.000 points my friend, glad to help in that department with my meagre 2 pts! The macaque looks a little resigned indeed, and more than a little cold! poor fellow, hope it has warmed a little in the meantime, but the reflective capture is perfect in every sense of fine photography, for that I thank you once more, my friend.
Cheers,
Mehmet

Hi James,
What a fantastic expression you have caught on this macaque.
I also like the water drops on the head, and the reflection in the water.
And congratulations on your 10,000 points!
Thanks for all your fantastic postings from all around the world. : )
Hey James,
I passed by this yesterday and had to come back for the critique.
This has to be one in a million , i know not for the Macaques, but for the composition.
What a fantastic idea, with great reflection and those brooding eyes are rivetting.Thefeatures are revealing and the water drop splashing up and with those on its head and face adds the drama to the shot.
What perfect timing to be there and freeze it all in frame!!!
And yes, absolutely fitting a dedication to Mehmet for the tresures that he comes up with each time..
Thank you for this one..goes right into my favourites.
Cheers

Incredible shot of this Macaques James. It is awesome, complete with the soaked fur, the colour, that look of resignation, the reflection, the positioning etc. etc. Wow!

Woooooooooow!!!!!
This is INCREDIBLE!
The falling snow and cool tones really set the atmosphere... and then the droplets in its fur and how he is partially submerged in water gives the viewer a sense that he's freeeeeeezing cold... but then the look on his face changes that to being once freezing but now lovely and warm in the spring :-)
I just love the reflection too.
Definately one of your best and probably one of the best on TN!
Straight into my favourites!
Joe

Hi James
Again an absolutely fantastic close-up from you, my friend!
I'm sure it's great to see these fellows live, but be sure you also made a lot of people happy when you came back with such terrific photos :) No wonder so many people call this one a favorite ;)
The full-frontal look here works wonders and the (almost - because he is too relaxed :)) eye-contact is great!
The details are also impeccably sharp while the vertical composition is exceptional, including that very nice reflection.
A splendid shot and a wonderful dedication for Mehmet.
Cheers and TFS
