[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Rapala arata is small Lycaenid butterfly. It has two brood. Spring form and summer form are different in appearance especially underside marking of both wings. This photo is spring form but unfortunately the underside is not visible. It ranges Japan, China, Korea.

Hello Motoki,
Very fine and beautiful little Lycaenid butterfly. Amazing the blue color of the upper wings and the beautiful stripes on the under-wings. I never have seen this species until now, so thanks so much to show it on TN with this natural picture.
