[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This waterfowl requested food and caused between the inside and the waterside on the pond.

The length is about 35cm, and the sizes of the pigeon. Adult bird's body is covered with a black feather. There is "Clypeus" that the beak extends in amount, and the root of the clypeus and the beak reddens at the breeding time. The foot and the toe are yellow.
It is likely to live in lakes and marshes, the river, the rice field, and the marsh, etc., and to live in the pond in the park etc. It strolls on the waterside and the water plant while raising a long foot high. There is no paddle on the foot, and it swims awkwardly though it is possible to swim and to dive in water by posture where the tail goes up high. The food habit eats various one like the insect, crustacean, and plant seeds etc. by omnivorous.
