Duck standing on water
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|I was in the Shirotori gardens in Nagoya and there were several ducks washing themselves whilst perched on a rock below, they were plucking feathers and also scratching everywhere, the funny thing was, was that they went on for ages and ages without stopping, this one had finished its daily routine and so here is a finished product, a clean duck|
I hope you like it

Pretty image Dan... although it is not easy to portray these animals with a so deep backlighting.
Lamentably great part of the colorful one of that form is lost.
I know that you can capture it far better even.
I dared to make a workshop Dan... I hope is of your pleasure.
Very nice picture.
But I'm agree with Ricardo.
This can be better.
I post a WS.
I hope you like it

Hi Daniel, indeed the WS of ellis49 is better, but your photo is good composition, I find this well seen.

Nice texture on the water here, The duck is in the right position in the frame too. It is just a little dark, which fill flash could fix or variations in PS. The Spesie looks like a Garganey - Anas querqudula - the white above the eye!
Welcome on TN Dan and nice first post. The pose of the duck and the composition are nice but I have to agree with the others about the light - knowing how difficult it can be with the backlight. The WS of Gert shows much more details in the feathers.
