[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I walked and went from my house to the Ueno park over about 1 hour on that day. It is a long time that I returned to this park. The promenade of the park near the park's entrance was improved finely. Although it entered in spring, many sea gulls were still able to be seen in the pond. It is various, such as seagulls have stopped on the stake built on the pond, seagulls which have stopped at the electric wire, seagulls which are gliding through sky, and seagulls swimming in the pond. I walked along the promenade around a pond slowly, and came out in front of the pond of the side near Ueno Station. The seagull had stopped on the handrail of the promenade facing a pond. It don't escape even if I approach near it, although it is point-blank range. It seemed to be person tameness considerably. It was impressive that it has the brown head and a skillful red beak/leg. It seems to the Black-headed Gull(Chroicocephalus ridibundus). Occasionally like a photograph, it opens the beak greatly and was barking toward the outside. The registration mark was attached to the leg of a seagull when seen well. It can be conjectured to be the bird which has received specification of slight concern (LC) by the World Conservation Union (IUCN). It breeds in northern Eurasia, Britain, Iceland, etc. And, it goes south, and it crosses to Europe, Africa, India, and Southeast Asia, and passes the winter. Full length is about 40 cm and it is about 93 cm at gambling of wings.

Phylum: Chordata
Class: Aves
Order: Charadriiformes
Family: Laridae
Genus: Chroicocephalus
Species: C. ridibundus
