[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken when I took a walk around the warehouse zone located in Koto-ku, Tokyo in this summer. I saw Common Bluebottle(Graphium sarpedon) is flying to the roadside tree at the entrance of a warehouse. Full length is about 30 to 45 mm. A wing is black and the belt of blue-green has pierced through it to the front wing and the hind wing. Flying power is high and flies around trees or a flower about quickly at high speed. An imago eats the honey of a flower and a larva mainly eats the leaf of the plant of the department of a camphor tree. It's the butterfly which makes a south direction the origin, and inhabites in wide range of East Asia, Southeast Asia, and northern Australia.
