[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken in the Kushiro Red-crowned Crane park in Kushiro-shi, Hokkaido. Red-crowned Crane crane is distributed over Japan (eastern Hokkaido), southeastern Russia, the People's Republic of China, the northern Republic of Korea, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. This bird is classified into Gruidae. The red portion of a head is the feature. The full length of an adult bird isin 125 - 152 cm, weight is 6.3 - 9 kg and wings gambling is 240 cm. The feathers of the whole body is white, and the feathers applied to a throat and a cervix from the eye point is black. There are no feathers in the top of the head, and the red skin is naked. Robes of feathers of young bird, such as a head to a back neck, are cinnamon colors. It inhabit in the marshland, a lake, a river, etc. Feeding habits are omnivorous and eat an insect, the crustacea, shellfish, fishes, a frog, a vegetable stalk, a seed, etc.
