A local wild monkey, sold to the a buddhist monk for a few kip. He calls for his mother, a mournful, "whoo, whoo". It has been proven that animal mothers teach the correct behavior to their childen. If removed as babies, they often lack proper socail molding, and survival skills, preventing a release into the wild afterwards.

Going into your gallery, I found this very moving portrait. I know these have very expressive eyes, but captured to that point is beautiful. Your wise close cropping as well as the monkey's pose and the POV bring a lot of enhancement to a very cute character. Deserves, IMO, a much better recognition!
