|Hill Blue Flycatcher|
Size: 15 cm
Location: Kaeng Kracharn National Park (Thailand)/ Bukit Tinggi (Malaysia)
A large-billed, blue and orange flycatcher. Male very similar to Tickellís but larger and deeper blue above with more black on cheeks. Orange on underparts variable but often extends down flanks as a wash. Female dark brown above with rusty tail and warm buff below. Both have rather long black bill and pinkish-brown (not black) legs.
Hard tak and short rattle. Warbling song more complex than Tickellís.
Inhabits thick forest feeding unobtrusively on invertebrates at lower levels in canopy. Fly-catches. Nests low down.
Rare winter visitor and passage migrant in Singapore.

simplistic beauty, awesome shot, perfect fstop for background and just look at the eye contact. This bird is captured PERFECTLY, you raise the bar for me friend every time! Shadow on his chest..just can look at this for hours.
