Unmistakable. The under-parts of the Sumatra Sub-species are brighter red than this individualís.
A slurred song mixed with clear whistles; also low chattering while feeding.
A strictly mountain bird found in rainforest from 600 to 2200m. In the right habitat, it is a numerous bird, seen daily in small vocal feeding parties, moving through primary forest. It often comes out near trails and roadsides. It usually stays low at eye-level, but it is also sometimes observed higher in the middle storey, feeding on insects, berries and nectar.
Oriental region. In Indonesia, occurs only in Sumatra, where it is locally common resident in mountain parts of the island and also in Malaysia.

Its a stunning capture Ang, what a fantastic little bird. Good sharpness and colors. In my view some white balance adjustment is require. A wider Aperture settings may be more appropriate to destroy the destructive background ! Well done Ang, good job again !
