|This might be Trichalus sp., also called red shoulder lycid beetle.|
Anyway, I took this under the hot sun (can tell by the shuter speed) while i was trecking up the boldy hill near Broga, 5 minutes drive from the Broga town itself.
There are no tree on the top, only beautiful rocks and tall skinny grasses.

Beetle on your picture belongs to family Pyrochroidae, easy to recognize thanks to their red colours of elytrae :)
