Ashy Tailorbird – Orthotomus ruficeps
Size : 12 cm. This is a skittish little bird that hops around bushes feeding on small insects. This was taken at Kuala Selangor – Selangor, Malaysia. The described habitat is mangrove, coastal scrub and peatswamps, rarely inland jungles which is spot on to its location.

Hi Phil,
My former statement: "I just do not like flash".
But I have to admit; your images are extraordinary and your fill flash is fine...though a trained eye can detect there's more than natural light involved; the latter doesn't mean this is a nit...on the contrary it is a technique well applied.
Not a lot of noise to detect with your 2/3 overexposure...
Great background; just a bit darker than the subject.
