Thanks to Mike WNR from UK for the correction of identification. I agree with him that this is a chilasa clytia instead.

(Idea sp.)

This shoot taken on my stamina training at Melawati Hill, the same day taken the shoot of the violet carpenter bee.

Sorry TN member, could not get the specific identification of this butterfly. I am not sure whether this species is as deadly as its cousin idea leuconoe, but it just stay calm on the flower branch when i am taking this shoot. It is known that idea leuconoe is so poison that even birds dare not approach them, in another word, prey on them.

Well, I dare not try on this one.

Hi Kean, not a bad shot but I would love to see the butterfly in full focal view. But I know it is not possible but this view is not bad again. marks to the frame and the lighting.TFS Ganesh

Hello, Kean!

Your photo's colours and sharpness are very good. But frame it is not balanced. (Your theme is exactly on the centre of it.) I think that you should crop it a lot from the right and a bit from above, i.e, on the areas with almost no details). I did it for you and hope you like it.

Good photo.

Not Idea Sp.

It is I think... The Mime... Chylasa clytia...mimics the blue tigers.

Regards Mike.

Hi Kean,
Superb shot.
Nice DoF, well focused. Sharp and neat blurry BG.
Well done.

Hi Kean,
This is a more graceful butterfly. I like the long legs and slender antennae. Beautiful natural settings. Very well done.

Hello Kean Hoon,
It is a beautiful butterfly photo with excellent light exposure. I really like your POV and pose of the butterfly. Focus is very good I can see on antenna of butterfly. I agree with workshop to crop more closely, but it is excellent photo just the way you present it.

Hi Kean,
You have some really nice quality light here Your exposure was spot on. The colors are well saturated, and detail is nice and sharp. A nice OOF backround keeps us focused on the butterfly.
Looks good!

Hello Kean,
