Red Headed Trogon (Male)
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
It has been a while since I last shot or posted. This lifer of a Red Headed Trogon (male) may just be the catalyst needed to get me back. First sighting was some 10 years ago and is only now that I managed to take a shot.
As with other trogons they are quiet creatures found normally in deep jungle. I note when perched their head is always turning ever looking for prey that are usually flying insects. Once it has found one it will fly off and get it with great accuracy returning to perch to enjoy his catch.

Hi Phil, welcome back with this magnificent capture of this red trogon! An excellent shot, the sharpness seems better on the branch but it's still good on the bird too. Lovely pose,it seems a movie star..ehehe...have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Phil,
A rare bird for TN and a very beautiful specimen at that. Love the rich colors and gorgeous markings. Hope to see more from you in the future!
