Junonia Almana Javana - Peacock Pansy
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Thanks to Mr. Cassidy for helping me out in identifying this butterfly. This is|
Junonia almana javana, Felder, 1862, also known as the Peacock Pansy. It is in the family Nymphalidae.
Shot in the morning, when the sunlight is still subtle. It is quite difficult to shoot butterflies in the morning as they are very active. But they are quite slow in the late afternoon.

Again a marvellous shot of a marvellous butterfly, the Peacock Pansy. Excellent focus with great details, fantastic natural colors and a fine composition.
Thank you very much for sharing, dear friend.
Thanks for your kind critique on my recent picture.
Peacock Pansy is a beautiful butterfly and it is my favourite.
You have captured this slightly aged specimen very well. The focus is sharp and the colours are closer to the original.
Well done and TFS.
Beautiful shot. I like butterflies almost such as fungi, and Your photos showing beautiful tropical species, which I most probably will never see in their natural environment. Great use of available lights, perfect composition, sharpness, colors and background. Brilliant work. It's time to bookmark You as one of my favorite photographers.
Respecftful regards from Hungary, László
