[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A fruit bat enticed with a ripe banana hung on my verandah (not visible in the frame) at night permitted me to take this shot as it "hover" in front of the bait.

I'm not sure of the ID but it is probably a short-nosed fruit bat (Cynopterus brachyotis) which is a common bat here. In fact it's said to be the commonest and most widespread fruit bat in tropical Asia.

Order: Chiroptera Family: Pteropodidae

I just wanted to go sleep a few minutes ago (as it is 0:30 at this moment in Lodz), but I decided to look at pictures in TN gallery for the last time tonight. And I found this wonderful and unique capture! Joe, this is amazing shot! I saw only one picture in TN gallery of flying bat (it was by Ahmet, rousettus). This is superb, so clear and sharp. I really do not know how did you take this image but here are my best congratulations! Effect is simply great!!!
All the best from Poland!

Hi Joe
excellent capture for this lovely fruit bats. I keen on Pteropodidae species and they are my favourite animals. This is also very beautiful. I know to capture flying bats very hard, at least for me. You managed greatly. Congratulations indeed and many thanks for sharing it. best wishes
