Sometimes it is so hard to get a shot of this guy. This one was handheld taken from the window my car.
The bird was sitting on a fallen branch in the middle of a small stream, where it has a narrow path by the side.

The White-throated Kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) also known as the White-breasted Kingfisher or Smyrna Kingfisher, is a tree kingfisher,[2] widely distributed in Eurasia from Bulgaria,[3] Turkey, east through South Asia to the Philippines. This kingfisher is a resident over much of its range, although some populations may make short distance movements. It can often be found well away from water where it feeds on a wide range of prey that includes small reptiles, amphibians, crabs, small rodents and even birds. During the breeding season they call loudly in the mornings from prominent perches including the tops of buildings in urban areas or on wires.

merhaba akhi Foozi
Smyrna, namely İzmir is the third biggest city and one of the northwesternmost points of this beautiful kingfisher. Unfortanely there is no record more than ten years from there. But we can find it in Mediterranean coast.
You nicely captured it in typical pose among branches. Thanks for sharing this beauty. Well done.
