Hello friends in TN,

This bird was rather fast and hardly perched still in one position.

The Asian Brown Flycatcher (Muscicapa latirostris) is a small passerine bird in the flycatcher family Muscicapidae.

This is an insectivorous species which breeds in Japan, eastern Siberia and the Himalayas. It is migratory and winters in tropical southern Asia from southern India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia.

This species is 13 cm long, including the cocked tail. It is similar in shape to the larger Spotted Flycatcher, but is relatively longer-tailed. The dark bill is relatively large and broad-based.

The adult has grey-brown upperparts, which become greyer as the plumage ages, and whitish underparts with brown-tinged flanks. Young birds have scaly brown upperparts, head and breast.

Thanks for viewing!

Hello Jusni,
Some birds are difficult to photograph because they never sit still, like this one. But that the challence of birdfotography. You managed it very well in good sharpness, nice natural colours and a fine composition.

Hi Jusni,a difficult backlight and a great result like in your last post, perfect exposure to take so well this small flycatcher despite the distance, great details and colors and nice composition too.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Ciao Jusni, great capture of lovely bird in nice pose in a beautiful a,bientation, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

You have dug up this bird picture from your archives of 2008, Jusni, and it is really a great capture despite limitations of light when the bird chooses to stay within the foliage of a tree.
The catch light in its upturned eye is the best element of this picture.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Jusni

It is a beautiful bird the Asian Brown Flycatcher
on this photo with his lovely pose, fine POV
obtaining its eye-contact even if the head is up,
the catch-light rendering the eye-contact and the
photo more beautiful, with a beautiful diffused light, TFS
