This lizard is around 30 cm long and was sunbathing on the path in the Spice Gardens. He seemed very happy and stayed several minutes before scampering away.

Hi Murray,
I like so much the clear and sharp details you got, specially on the shining sking of the lizard.
This is a very good exposition with this intense light.
Well done, thanks for share and best regards,

Hello Murray,
Good details and nice framing!
I think you handle the harsh lighting very well...
Well composed presentation!

Hi Murray,
I think I've seen this lizard in Singapore which isn't so far from Penang. Very fine capture of this one with sharp details and colour against the light background. Would have been nice to se the eye, but that isn't always on - they are quick!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Great photo, it's hard to catch this quick things properly, what you're did. TFS.

Hi Murray, this is a great composition of the lizard with a very nice contrast of his smooth darker skin against the rough lighter rock. You've made great use of the square format. I was looking for more detail (I look for the eye) so I thought I would try a workshop to lighten up the right side a bit.

Thanks, John
