[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My today's shot features a large sized bat; these large sized bats are common in the foothills of Margalla hills and surrounding forests in and around Islamabad. I am not sure about the id as there are lots of varieties living around my locality. They are often seen in large groups, hanging down from tall trees, making noises, changing and adjusting their positions, wrapping their bodies and often looking around for possible threats. They are observed to leave those tall trees only after sunset. As we have winters here so it is easier to spot them in bare trees.Bat in my shot was almost staring at me despite the fact i was far away from the tree. I took few shots of it as morning light was helping to get some decent details.

Hope you will like my post,
Best Regards,
AKBAR

Hello Akbar,
What a wonderful image of this rather large bat. I would never have guessed that you were some distance away since the detail is so good. Nice color and great eye contact. I really like the warm lighting.
We do not have large bats like this here in Ohio, it is extremely rare to spot one in the open like this. Great shot. TFS.
