[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yes, this time our common House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), a male which are so damn active during these lukewarm days of spring here in Indo-Pak Sub-continent. On a certain level they are a symbol of lechery and way back in time we find a phrase coined by the father of English Literature, Geoffrey Chaucer when he defines a character named summoner in his 'Canterbury Tales and calls him " hot and lecherous as a sparrow'. Sorry I did not mean any harm to this beautiful but innocent and very good looking bird of ours found all over the world, just shared something attached to it in all our cultures.
I am glad I was able to get this shot which I think is quite acceptable. It was looking at me then and perhaps knew my views about him so I find this 'f++k off' thing there in his eyes too.....smile.....no, not really but....just joking....have a look, please. Thanks.

Hi Syed

Very nice close shot of this sparrow. good details. I would have liked some more space beneath. thankss!

Thijs

At one time, they were everywhere; now they are rarely seen. What is happening to them? Why are they conspicuous by their alarming absence?
These are the questions that bother me, Abid.
Your picture of this male House Sparrow is beautiful.
Thanks and regards.

Hello Abid,
A fine capture of this male House Sparrow from a rear POV. The turned head has a fine catchlight in the eye and the sharpness is excellent in a fine DOF that provides a clean BG.
They are becoming rare in many parts of Europe too.
This is nice to view and thanks for sharing it.
With best regards my friend,
Ivan
