|Took this shot two years ago in Southern Pakistan in a small coastal area. I sighted this bird of prey perched on a concrete pillar far away. Because of some good light of low angle sun i was able to get some decent details. My subject appears grainy because i took this shot at almost max zoom of my bridge camera. Fellows here are well aware that telescopic fixed lenses can't be an effective alternate to good branded lenses. Still some good light and contrast with blue sky has given me an overall decent shot. Some info about white-eyed buzzards from wikipedia is as under:|
The White-eyed Buzzard (Butastur teesa) is a medium sized hawk, unrelated to the true buzzards of the genus Buteo, found in South Asia. Adults are characteristic, having a rufous tail, a distinctive white iris and a white throat with a contrasting mesial stripe and bordered by dark moustachial stripes. The head is brown and the median coverts of the upper wing are pale. They do not have typical carpal patches found on the underside of the wings of true buzzards but the wing lining appears dark in contrast with the flight feathers. They often sit upright on perches for prolonged periods and will soar on thermals in search of insect and small vertebrate prey. They are vociferous in the breeding season and several birds may be heard calling as they soar together.

I think your Canon PowerShot SX50 HS did a superb job, I would be thrilled to capture such an image as this. Detail is excellent and the warm colors are very attractive. I love the unique eye color and intense look it has on it's face. It has posed perfectly for you and the clean blue BG is a wonderful bonus. Great notes. Well done!!
Hi Akbar - Beautiful species this "White-eyed Buzzard" and well captured. Very sharp eyes with natural color and sharpness. Against blue sky looks nice...Thanks for sharing. Best regards - Srikumar
