Hello Luis,
Good composition and portrait, only soft in focus in the bill and noise in background. I´ll try witha workshop.

What a beautiful bird, Luis. I have never seen one like this before.
Thanks for introducing me to a new species. Very sharp details and gorgeous colors.
I hope steps are being taken to protect this endangered species.

Hi Luis
A belated welcome to Trek Nature.
Thanks for introducing me to this bird. That great big eye is really piercing and lovely colours it has. Your composition is fine with good cropping to give the bird sufficient space.
Since you do not include any specific info or activated your camera info I do not know how to give you proper or constructive advice. I can only point out what is maybe not quite right with your photo and generalise about some possible solutions.
1. Soft focus on the bill and as it forms an essential part of the subject it would have been nice if that was just as sharp as the rest. - Could be f/stop or incorrect focus area. Since the eye is very sharp in focus, the problem probably stems from too large an aperture.
2. Noise speckles in the background. - Could be due to an ISO setting of 400 or higher or it could be from pushing the USM (unsharp mask) to gain some extra sharpness.
You should really consider switching on your camera details if you want to receive some constructive criticism or feedback. Some aspects of a problem on a photo could have more than one cause so it's not easy to address the specific issue if one does not know the settings or conditions under which a photo was taken.
Anyhow, well done and TFS.
PS. I notice on your 'intro' page that you do not display any information about yourself or your equipment. If you're having problems with it or do not know how to do it please feel free to contact me and I'll be pleased to assist you.
