Saw this brightly colored ant in my backyard, its attractiveness compels me to shoot. Indeed, nature is bursting with colors and vibrancy to behold.

Hi Czaldy.
Looks like a long journey for the wee fella up that leaf, good spotting. He is very brightly coloured. A lttle more sharpness would have been great for more detail in him but as they are so small you have done great getting this shot.
Well seen

Kathleen

Hi Czaldy,
Thanks for making the effort and posting.
It sure is a bright ant.
I realise these guys are pretty fast and hard to catch, but if you can,get closer, with an unobscured view.
The foreground leaf is quite distracting.
Also, with this kind of shot, you need to pay attention to the wind and the motion of the plant etc.
It looks as though either you or the plant moved a little.
Perhaps also the camera found it hard to focus on the red .. it sometimes does.
Best to set the focus to 'spot' mode and aim the cross in the center at an area where the colour changes, like the head in this photo.
A good try though.
Keep it up.
Steve
