[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A rare migrant to the Philippines, I lucky to see this bird last year as it was foraging on a parklike area digging for small insects on the ground. in Wikipedia-The diet of the Hoopoe is mostly composed of insects, although small reptiles and frogs as well as some plant matter such as seeds and berries are sometimes taken as well. It is a solitary forager which typically feeds on the ground.
It is the national bird of Israel.
