Spotted Wood Kingfisher
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The spotted wood kingfisher (Acetenoides lindsay) is easily one of the most beautiful birds I have seen. As the name implies it is seen in small forests sitting quietly on a branch about 7 to 10 feet from the ground.|

Very nice portrait of a beautiful bird: sharp, nice relaxed pose, eye highlight. Maybe lightening the bird would bring its colours more to the forefront.

First time I'm watching your picture here in TN.Happy New Year To You.Wish you good and healthy life.
This species pose looks like a typical kingfisher, but details on body looks like Woodpecker which is available in our area in India.Very well captured with splendid details and attractive colour.Like its majestic neck pose.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice time,
Yes, I agree, this is indeed a bird with beautiful features and you have captured so well. Good composition and point of view to draw attention to the alert eye, the perfectly adapted beak and the distinctive plummage, all in good, sharp focus. Best regards and thanks for sharing.
