|I name this the green train because as look at it, this little guy looks like a train, now i know where the train design inspiration came from hahaha.|
By the way i'd like you meet the Papilio Polytes Caterpillar, on it's 5th and final instar, this guys is on it's 3rd day since the last molting, i don't any have any available cameras to use during the time i found the 5 caterpillars at our own lime tree. The stage is almost the same with Papilio Demoleus's 5th instar caterpillar, but since i witnessed their 1st to 3rd stage molting i'm sure i'm right.
But it makes me sad, what used to be 5 are now only 2 are left so i have taken measures to transfer them on a predator free baby lime tree garden. But, please don't mistake me for taking them captive this species are common customers to our lime trees. I just like to personally witness their complete change and watch them fly.
The Photo by the way was taken using my old point and shot sony dsc w90.
Toned down the exposure a little.
Adjust the contrast to 2 steps higher
compressed the photo for treknature uploading
then resharpen to bring back the details lost during compression.
Software used: Photoshop CS6
Hope like my photo. Have a good day!

Common species in India too. I have seen them also on Citras leaf. Photograph's atmosphere is looking nice against OOF BG. Color looks beautiful and natural. But focus wasn't on your "Green Train". Focus is on leaf (just right portion of your "Train". Look carefully.....
Thanks for sharing your interesting work with us,

Focus may be a tad soft on it's back end portion, but still good enough to show us this unique looking caterpillar in nice detail. Lovely green color with some interesting markings across it's back. It's always exciting to watch the cycle of life from caterpillar to moth or butterfly.
