|Blue Skimmer Dragonfly Orthetrum Caledonicum|
Taken at the Singapore Botanical Gardens by the pond, i found this 'broken winged' dragonfly sitting on a plant. I thought it'd looked pretty interesting.

Looks like a Black-tailed Skimmer to me.
Pity it has broken wings, though that itself makes it an interesting picture, as you rightly mention.
Your choice to retain the entire branch on which it is perched is justified in view of the interesting shape of the blossoms on it.

What a lovely shot, its a shame about its wing but it is still beautiful. I really like your composition, nice detail and beautiful colours, with a great blurry BG.

A very well composed image, with good lines!
The macro work is well done, as the insect is captured with fine details... DOF is spot on, and I like the way you include the full plant!
I also notice this guy has a broken wing...
sad about his wing, but the photo is very pretty..I like how you've focused in on the main subject..its really nice..and nice colors..TFS
Great macro.Nice composition and amazing colours. Congratulations,
I like this composition and colors. DOF is very good and I like the fact that both subject are well focused. Thanks,
