Classical Sideview

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Very common posing of this Robberfly, perhaps a classical sideview. Im waiting for this areal predator to perch on ideal location so that I can get a good background before taking this picture. Prepared a slave flash to get a back lit effect on its tiny hair. |

Hi Leo
I must say that I am rather perplexed why I found this excellent photo in the "Uncritiqued" gallery. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it has been 9 months since you did your last critique to any member on the site.
Anyway, it is a stunning capture of this robberfly. As you say, a "classical side view" with lovely colours and pin sharp details which reflects this insect on a perfectly OOF and evenly coloured BG. The composition and DOF is spot and you made excellent use of the fill-in flash.
Great work and TFS.
Regards
