[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Pekin robin (Leiothrix lutea), also known as Red-billed Leiothrix and Pekin Nightingale.

In spite of its name, it is not a robin at all but belongs to the sub-family Timaliinae, of the large family Muscicapidae, commonly known as Babblers and of which there are 252 species in 50 genera. Babbler is a very apt name, actually, as a pair frequently chatters or "babbles" to each other.

In the wild, outside the breeding season, groups of Pekin robins can be found across all but north of the Himalayas, heading eastward across northern Myanmar (formerly Burma) to just south of the Yangtse River in China. Although occasionally found as far east as Hong Kong, the bird's range takes on a more southerly direction and falls across northern Indo-China to southwest Myanmar.

Hi Meerkat,

Nice picture of this good lokking bird, Excellent composition and colors.
but i feel the picture is bit soft and the framing cuts the body of the bird ( Look one at legs it is not in the frame) This should be avoided.

it's a nice picture wiht very good POV.
Pity you cut the right foot and the picture is a bit soft.
Well seen from the dark BG and nice colours.
Well done.

What a pretty little bird, Meerkat. So colorful, standing there with a cute pose. The focus is a tad soft, and a shame about the missing foot, but I like the composition with the branch in a diagonal in the corner. A note about the bird would be greatly appreciated. TFS. : )

Hi Meerkat

A littled rushed this moring, so just a quick visit. Enough time to see that this is a well composed shot, with very good light and details. Good colour and POV. :-)

Hi Meerkat,
Well composed picture. With good BG.
Try to be little more sharper & avoid the framing.
