In Pinnawella you can make great pictures of elephants.
The elephants comes to the river twice a day for drinking and washing. Most of the elephants are orphans and now lives here in a very large group. |

I like this shot Jan Arie.
The focus is a little soft (due to using the zoom handheld?). Its very hard to avoid some movement without a tripod.You can rest the camera on a tree of something if thats possible.
As a rule,try to leave a little more space in front of the subject than behind.
I think the front elephant looks a bit thin...is it perhaps sick or malnourished?

Hi Jan Arie, very nice moment you have captured there, mother and baby? :) Good composition, a bit dark on the mother, I agree with Steve about the soft focus. Thanks for sharing. :)
