|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
(Buceros rhinoceros) 双角犀鸟
Size: 122cm - VR/Es - BT
Unmistakable; note massive size and yellow neck; yellow bar and white trailing edge in wing show clearly in flight.
A far-reaching ger-ok during flight.
Found in large expanses of primary rainforest, at both lowland and lower montane elevations. A high, conspicuous bird, often spotted in pairs, flying slowly high above the trees, calling loudly. Lands in the top of the tallest trees to feed on figs and other fruit. Feeding and nesting behaviour has well-documented by researchers in Thailand.
Very rare escapee in Singapore
