|This "Unknown" Spider had a very big web made beside the bungalow we were staying in West Railey Thailand, I have nothing to show his size in comparison but if you spread out the average size mans hand he was probably a bit bigger then that....as long as he stayed in his web, we got along just fine.|

Hi Simon , welcome to TrekNature , neat spider , big as a mans hand ? yike's !!! :-)
it is a nice photo , I like the angled composition of the web , and the interest of the subject spinning at its web , also nice color and a reasonable exposure , I notice here that the focus is a bit on the web , and a bit off the spider.
sorry no help here with the spider ID
thanks for sharing hope to see more :-)
Welcome to Trek Nature. May you have a most incredible journey, both photographically and educational. The spider in your image is that of an Orb Spider. That is the female you see here, the males are very small in comparison to the female. The male fetches and supply food all the time, because if not the female eats the male. They spin the most gorgeous webs and sometimes the colour is gold and displays beautifully in the sunlight. One can see these Orb Spiders quite often in the Kruger National Park. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.
