Class: Insecta
Order: Coleoptera
Family: Lycidae
Genus: Duliticola
Species: D. hoiseni
The trilobite beetle (Duliticola hoiseni) is an endangered species. It can be found in Southeast Asia. The trilobite beetles got their name because they look like the extinct trilobites (phylum Arthropoda, class Trilobita).

The trilobite beetle in the picture is resting on a rotten wood in a glass cage. The light is very low to simulate the natural habitat of damp forest floor.

Hello Jitti,
The real trilobites were common in the seas of the Devonian and became extinct at the end of that period. They were up to 20cm in length - the ones I have seen anyway. This beetle has an uncanny resemblance with them, hence the name, I am sure. Is this a frist on TN? Best wishes.
